New Projects!

I have so many great projects going on this month! I just finished my first official week as Principal Clarinet with the Allen Philharmonic and we performed our educational outreach concerts for fourth grade students at Allen ISD. They were such a wonderful audience, it's wonderful for student to get to experience their first concert and learn about the instruments before they get to choose their own instruments to start band and orchestra themselves. That's how I chose clarinet and became a musician after seeing a Peter and the Wolf concert as a child so these are near and dear to my heart.

We're also preparing for two upcoming Dallas Winds concerts, the first will be on November 16th in Dallas and will serve as a send off for the performance that we'll do at the 75th Midwest Clinic in Chicago next month. It will include a premiere of Frank Ticheli's new work Bash! as well as Stravinsky's Firebird, Omar Thomas' Come Sunday, Viet Cuong's Re(new)al and more! It's also live streaming so check it out if you're interested. I'll also be returning to Irving Symphony next week to perform Ravel's Piano Concerto for the Left Hand and I have some master classes scheduled around town with some wonderful students. I hope to see you at a concert or master class soon!
