Happy New Year!

2023 was a fantastic year! I ended the Christmas season with performances of Polar Express with the Dallas Symphony and of course The Nutcracker ballet with the Plano Symphony. It was also really exciting to watch previously recorded projects premiere on television, including a Christmas Program on PBS with John Rutter conducting his own works and another Christmas production with the Dallas Symphony on Ovation. Most exciting of all, I purchased my own contrabass clarinet and I cannot wait to use it for some upcoming projects in the spring of 2024.

I have a lot of exciting projects coming up in 2024, one that I am really looking forward to is performing Elektra with the Dallas Opera on Basset Horn! With 111 players, it is one off the largest orchestras used in opera so one does not get the opportunity to perform something of this magnitude very often. I will also be returning to Clearly Clarinet Camp this summer as the head of the Advanced Orchestral Division, giving master classes with the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, as well as at Oklahoma City University. Wishing you all a wonderful start to your new year, happy practicing!
