Song from the Uproar

 

This has been an amazing week performing Missy Mazzoli’s, Song from the Uproar with Verdigris Ensemble. The immersive opera is quite the ride as it combines vocal music, the instrumental ensemble, and film to tell Isabelle Eberhardt’s fascinating story as an adventurer and journalist. I couldn’t get enough of the vivid lighting, captivating projections, and of course the amazing (yet challenging) music!
